Occupational Therapy for Children in Mumbai

Occupational therapy helps children build the skills they need for everyday life: holding a pencil, getting dressed, sitting through a class, coping with noise or touch.

At Trijog, occupational therapists work alongside our child psychologists and speech therapists, so a child who needs help in more than one area gets one joined-up plan.

The short answer

Occupational therapy for children works on fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing, attention and self-care skills through structured play. It can help children who find everyday tasks or busy environments harder than their peers. Trijog offers occupational therapy for children in Mumbai as part of its child and adolescent services.

How sessions work

Sessions look like play, but each activity is chosen to build a specific skill. Your therapist will explain the goals and suggest simple activities to do at home and share with your child’s school.

Who occupational therapy often supports

Occupational therapy is commonly part of support for children with sensory processing differences, coordination difficulties, attention difficulties, autism or developmental delays. It is also helpful for children with no diagnosis who simply find certain everyday tasks harder.

What progress can look like

Progress shows up in small, everyday ways: a child who can now button a shirt, write a full line without tiring, sit through circle time, or cope with a noisy birthday party. Your therapist will agree clear goals with you and review them as you go.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Many children benefit from occupational therapy for a specific difficulty, such as handwriting or coordination, without any diagnosis.

It usually works best in person, because so much of it involves movement and materials. Parent guidance sessions can be online.

With your permission, your therapist can share strategies that your child’s teachers can use in class.
